Where do the days go?

Can you believe it? Its almost the end of summer! The last 3 months have gone by so fast it makes my head spin. September is an important and significant month for us. Why you might ask? Well, let's see....September means;

1. Our time in Dallas ends in 1 month

2. We have 4 more Sundays at our awesome church-Trinity

3. Sandra and Juliette begin homeschooling and I'm their teacher!?! (scary)

4. Eddie quits his job (our only financial security in the natural sense!)

5. Kelly has to sort, pack, toss, or give away all our belongings

6. We have to make those belongings fit into a U-haul truck

7. We leave on a 4 week trip where we will drive to California, Nevada, and
Mazatlan, Mexico with our dog Vanilla and our cat, Cat.

8. We are going "home" and get to hang out with our kids and friends in CA

9. Road trip!!!! Let the fun begin!

Yeah September is going to be awesome. The adventure continues!

Its Hot!!

Yes its hot here in Dallas. Today was 107-hot even for Texas standards. We have had a pretty cool summer, despite the rising temperatures.

In June Eddie and Kelly went to Kerrville, TX to attend an orientation with Commission to Every Nation or CTEN. The 3 day orientation was packed full of helpful information, great fellowship, and good food. The Vargases are preparing to serve under the CTEN umbrella with YWAM Mazatlan.

After a few days of being home Eddie boarded a plane and went to Mazatlan for two weeks of training with the Homes of Hope Ministry. HOH is a part of YWAM Mazatlan and its the primary place where Eddie will work. Eddie had fun working with a team from Santa Cruz, CA. They built a house in 3 days. He also had fun hanging out with his son Isaac who serves on staff in Mazatlan.

While Eddie was in MX, Kelly and the girls went to Florida to visit Kelly's sister Trish. They had a great time hanging out with the cousins. The day we went to the beach it was overcast and deserted, but the coastline was mysteriously beauitful.

July was a full month of work and fellowship and support raising. We are amazed at God's goodness in our lives. He continues to love us and confirm His call to us to go to Mexico. We've been blessed by many people who have prayed for us, invested in us financially, and shared encouraging words.
